The Twingo went back to the Nürburgring for the first time in a long while. New engine build, a prototype dashboard, and an evening of solid rain to test all of it. The car pulls harder than before, and it works. Next up is a dry day with a larger focus on performance.

We took the Twingo to the Nürburgring on Thursday evening. First proper laps in a long time.
The car spent the winter apart. New engine build, and a lot of small things sorted while we were in there. We had a rough idea of what it would feel like, but you never really know until it's moving. Short version, it pulls noticeably harder than before. We're not putting a number out yet, the difference is obvious from the driver's seat.
Then it rained. Properly rained, the whole evening, and it only started drying out near the end. Not what you want for a first run, and it turned out fine anyway. The car was stable in the wet, stable on the drying line, and stable in the parts where half the track had grip and half didn't. That's what surprised us most. The setup just worked.
We also ran the DynoTech dashboard for the first time. Still a prototype. Speed, temps and lap data in one place, readable live from the box. First time we've seen it work for real. More on that once it's finished.
Thanks to 27 Trackdays for the Afterwork session. Good format, relaxed evening, exactly the kind of thing we needed to shake the car down.
No lap times worth talking about, the conditions saw to that. But the car works, and that's what we came for. Next up is a dry day and a real reference time. After that, back to where we actually want to be, which is on a grid.
